At some point in your pet’s life it will most likely be necessary for them to undergo a surgical procedure. Our Veterinarians take their role as a “Surgeon” very seriously and will only perform surgeries that lie within their area of expertise. Our routine surgeries include spays, neuters, feline declaws, cystotomies, and soft tissue surgeries like mass removals. If your pet needs a procedure that they feel requires a board-certified surgeon, they will refer your pet to a specialty hospital.
Prior to each and every surgery performed at Forest Park Veterinary Clinic, the patient undergoes a physical examination and a series of blood tests in order to reduce the risk associated with general anesthesia. Your pet will have an intravenous catheter placed before any anesthesia is administered and will have fluids running throughout the surgery to keep him/her hydrated and to flush out the liver and kidneys. Throughout the entire procedure, your pet will be under the careful supervision of both the Veterinarian and a team of licensed Veterinary Technicians who will constantly monitor blood pressure and oxygen level, as well as breathing and heart rate. We will administer medication both before and after surgery to manage any pain or discomfort your pet may experience.
We are very proud of our surgical standards here at Forest Park and we know that we will provide your pet with the best care available. If you would like an estimated cost of your pet's procedure or if you have any further questions, please call our office.

This is by far one of the best vet practices in Central Ohio. The staff that answer the phones are always friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The techs are wonderful and very patient with any questions we may have. The vets are absolutely fabulous! We feel like part of the family when we step into the office each time. If you are searching for a vet, I highly recommend FPVC!!
